Vector’s first micro-grid project where TESLA Powerpack2 batteries, 2.32MVA/2.366 MWh were installed to provide the Kawakawa Bay community and Watercare pump station with back-up power in the event of a loss of network.

 

Located on Watercares site, the project required coordination with Watercare to work around their critical infrastructure and not impede current or future maintenance activities.
