Client: Foodstuffs
Project Value: $7m
Completion: October 2022
Project Type: Building & Retail
Our role: Foodstuffs Internal Project Manager and External Project Manager
TOBA have been engaged by Foodstuffs to provide a full suite of Project Management services on the New World Green Bay redevelopment project, from design, tendering, consent, construction and closeout phases.
This complex project involves the expansion and full redevelopment of the existing supermarket along with the expansion of the existing customer carpark.
The existing store needed to remain fully operational and works needed to be staged to allow departments to shift around and continue serving to customers. The structure of the existing store required reconfiguration and expansion including a seismic upgrade. These modifications include removing partitioning between the commercial tenancies, removing the ancillary buildings at the rear of the site, adding a new mezzanine office level, modifying the building frontage to improve glazing areas, creating a more defined edge between the carpark and adjacent Barron Green Reserve, cosmetic changes to the building, carpark reconfiguration and line markings, and a new 10m³ stormwater tank to the rear eastern corner of the site (RC requirement).

This project is currently under construction, and due to be completed in October 2022.
Foodstuffs and the store Operator are extremely wrapped with the works to date and we all look forward to completing the project on time and on budget.
