Our role was that of Project Manager, working within Mercury’s Hydro team to scope, develop the business case and procure design services for the excitation updates of 12 units across 3 sites, Maraetai 1, Arapuni and Waipapa.
The project was a multi-year project to replace obsolete equipment as part of Mercury’s renewals programme.
The sites are all remote and require significant planning. Reduction of risk through proper planning and risk mitigation through the design process were essential.
