Edwin is an experienced project delivery leader with more than two decades in the energy and electricity distribution sectors across New Zealand and Asia.
He has led multidisciplinary teams of project managers and engineers to deliver complex capital works programmes, customer-initiated network upgrades and major infrastructure projects safely, on time and within budget.
At Powerco and Wellington Electricity, Edwin has managed large portfolios of network and customer projects, including substation upgrades, transmission line defect remediation, utility relocations and subdivision developments. He brings deep expertise in scoping, design coordination, stakeholder engagement and contractor management, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, health and safety, and optimising asset utilisation.
Edwin began his career as an electrical and telecommunications engineer, working with organisations such as Tenix, Huawei and Marconi on network design, construction and commissioning across New Zealand and Malaysia. This blend of technical grounding and hands-on delivery experience enables him to provide practical, commercially aware advice from project inception through to commissioning and close-out.
