Project Gigawatt was an Auckland Council project to help meet climate and carbon reduction goals for the Council by incorporating rooftop solar, batteries and solar farms within their existing land and building assets.
The project involved working with industry to form a panel of suppliers to help scope and deliver projects through multi-year partnership agreements. TOBA developed the project through to the business case. Due to covid, this project did not proceed beyond the business case stage due to Council capital constraints.
